Embercraft

iPhone and Android

Your day feeds a fire.

Embercraft is a habit tracker and a to-do list with a fire underneath them. Write what needs doing, finish it, and the logs go on. Light an ember and the fire keeps the day, and one ember a day keeps your streak. The fire burns down on its own, so the app asks about today rather than about your last six months.

Free to use: 15 embers a week. Membership takes the cap off.

Embercraft on a phone: a finished habit throws its logs onto a burning fire.

How it works

The work is the fuel.

Write what needs doing

A task is worth one to five logs, and you say which when you write it. Finish it and the bundle goes on the fire. That is the whole deal: the work is the fuel.

Some things you keep lit

A habit is an ember. Light it and the logs go on, and the record keeps every day you did. One ember a day keeps your streak going, and a day off never takes the record away. Meeting the goal is what pays, 2 of 3 glasses is nothing yet.

The fire keeps a world

Behind the list a fire burns down on its own, and what you finish keeps it going. Out there a character lives by it, and every ember you keep pays experience into who they become.

The Embercraft home screen: a wall of habit tiles, some lit, some waiting.
The wall. Every habit is a tile, and a lit one looks lit.

Deep Focus in Embercraft, ready at 25 minutes, with the day’s sittings under it.
The desk. A sitting at the timer pays into the same fire.

What else is in there

Everything a day needs, in one fire.

Deep Focus

Twenty five minutes, fifty, or open ended. Sittings are filed under work, study or whatever you name, and they earn logs.

Breathing and sitting

Three deep breaths with the screen breathing along, or a timed meditation with a bell at the end of it.

Rituals with steps

A morning routine is one ember with its steps inside it. Tick them off in the card; the ember only counts when the needed ones are done.

Quests and a ledger

Today on the home screen, everything else at /quests, filed by tag, with what burned today sunk to the bottom.

Works with no signal

Add a todo, check one off, log an ember: all three go through in a tunnel and settle up when you surface, on the day you actually did them.

Notifications that are only the bell

The end of a sitting, the end of a meditation. No ads, no news, no “we miss you”.

Free and membership

Free lights 15 embers a week.

And that free tier is most of the app: every screen, the world, sync across your devices. The one cap is how many embers you can light in a week, and membership takes it off and unlocks the Deep Focus timer and the calorie tracker.
